‘Tis the season to jolly and learn more about the history of Beckley on a trolley.
This Friday and Saturday and Dec. 21-22 are the last opportunities to tour and see Christmas lights aboard the McBee’s Trolley with wooden seats and fully enclosed in glass. Tours all four days will be offered at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tour guide John Luckton will provide information about the history of Beckley and its former light displays while riders take in the current sights. Also, Luckton will share some trivia facts related to some Christmas traditions.
As part of the excursion through town, the trolley will stop at the Beckley Arts Center where the group can browse and have refreshments, such as cider.
Tours can fill up quickly and advanced reservations are required by calling 304-256-TOUR. Reservations may also be made by contacting McBee’s at 304-894-8710.
Tickets for the Christmas lights trolley tour are $10 each for adults and no charge for children 5 and younger. A 20 percent discount on tickets is available if you have a meal at McBee’s.
