Crab Orchard man killed in ATV wreck

A 35-year-old Crab Orchard man was killed in an ATV accident early Thursday morning, police said.

According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred just before 2 a.m. in Glen Morgan when an ATV ridden by Paul Michael Shrewsbury Jr. went off the side of Sullivan Road and struck a guardrail.

Shrewsbury, who was thrown over an embankment, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was investigated by Deputy Brian D. Stump.
