From Staff Reports
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, with the assistance of a State Police helicopter, continued its search for a missing man Tuesday.
Matt Mitchell, no age available, of Crany, has not been seen by family members since Sunday night, according to Sheriff Randall Aliff.
He said family members reported Mitchell missing two nights ago.
“We can’t do anything for 24 hours,” Aliff said Tuesday.
“The family said he is still missing today.”
Family members also indicated Mitchell had left in his vehicle and threatened suicide, Aliff explained.
Aliff requested the assistance of a helicopter due to the number of roads in the Crany area.
The investigation is continuing.
Aliff asks that anyone with any information concerning Mitchell’s whereabouts to contact the sheriff’s department at 304-732-8000.
