Anna Lou Browning

HICO — Anna Lou Browning, 79, of Hico, passed away at Fayette Nursing and Rehab on June 30th, 2013, following a long Illness.

Anna was born February 28, 1934 in Williamson, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Leona Spry Stafford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rubal W. Browning in 2011; a sister, Maude Brewer; three brothers, Frank Stafford, Kenneth Stafford Jr., Pete Stafford.

Anna was a member of Midland Trail Gardening Club, a retired school teacher and a member of the Ansted Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and also loved gardening, tending to her flowers and painting.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Stephen Browning and John Browning both of Hico; six grandchildren, Theresa Horton, Stephen Browning II, Kathryn Browning Young, John Browning Jr., Sarah Margaret (Meg) Keith, Becky Ann Piccard, and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sally Huffman of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m.  Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel, Ansted, with Pastors Jack Eades and Doug Eades officiating. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor.

Friends may gather with the family Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Santanea Gayle Spahr Byers

Santanea Gayle Spahr Byers, entered into this life on September 14, 1988 and departed us on June 17, 2013 after a long hard struggle.

She was a 2006 graduate of MHHS and attended Mountain State University.

Santanea loved spending time at the river drawing and writing poetry, four wheeling, fishing, and was and an avid animal lover and activist for them.

Santanea was always so full of life and love for her family and friends no matter what struggles she faced over the last several years.

Santanea is survived by her two precious sons, Jaden Aaron and Avery Edward who she so affectionately referred to as her “Piglet” and “Peanut”. Also left to cherish precious memories are her parents, Dawn Miller and Kristifer Spahr; brother, Tristen Miller; two sisters, Brittanie and Kourtnie; maternal grandparents, Dolly and David Bostie; paternal grandparents, Kreigh and Bobbi Spahr; as well as her special dog, Aleeda, who was her constant companion and source of comfort and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the sandbar located at the New River Park Service on Thurmond Rd in Thurmond, W.Va.  

All family, friends, and classmates are invited to attend. Please feel free to bring and share any photos, stories, memories, personal writings or tributes.
