Wear Denim to benefit the United Way

Its no secret the United Way of Southern West Virginia is a much-needed organization. In addition to the variety of area groups it supports, the organization involves the community in plenty of fun and engaging events.

One of the most popular is the Denim for a Difference campaign which is going on this week.

Businesses, schools and other organizations that registered with the United Way let their employees wear jeans to work.  For a $5 donation, you get one day of denim wear; $10 gets you a three-day pass; and for $15, you can wear jeans to work all week.

That money helps the United Way meet its $525,000 campaign goal.
