Robbery suspect sought

— Police in Fayette County are searching for a man suspected of an armed robbery that occurred around 3:15 a.m. Friday.

Sheriff Steve Kessler said the armed robbery occurred at Drifter’s Bar in the Glen Jean area. Kessler said a man armed with a stun gun physically assaulted the bartender and stole her purse. The subject then fled the scene on foot and deputies were unable to locate him.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask and dark-colored clothing at the time of the incident. Kessler said it is believed the suspect is from the area.
