RALEIGH COUNTY —
A single-engine private plane that was leaking fuel landed safely at Raleigh County Memorial Airport Tuesday night.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. when the pilot notified the airport the aircraft was leaking fuel. Airport Manager Tom Cochran said the airport made the necessary preparations for the plane to land safely.
“We are proud that it was a safe landing and that there were no injuries,” he said.
Cochran said maintenance was performed immediately and that the aircraft is good to go.
