BECKLEY —
A Beckley woman died late Tuesday when her SUV ran off the roadway, rolled several times down an embankment, trapping her inside the vehicle, according to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department.
A press release said the accident took place at the intersection of Eccles Road and Allentown.
Kimberly Grimes, 39, was driving her 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer when she attempted to turn on to Allentown Road, but ran off the side of the road causing the SUV to roll, the release said.
Grimes was dead at the scene, according to police.
The incident is being investigated by Sheriff’s Deputy R.D. Utt.
