Waves of color

— Liberty High School students Caila Hill and Tiffny Keeton get hanging baskets ready for sale. Liberty High’s annual greenhouse sale will be different this year — only because of the days it will be held. The sale, a fundraiser for the school’s FFA, is set for Monday and Tuesday at the high school in Glen Daniel. Agriculture teacher Kevin Okes said test prep later in the week necessitated the move from its normal Thursday-Friday schedule. Okes said that vegetables of all kinds are available as well as a wide variety of annual flowers. There are also about 75 hanging baskets that feature Wave Petunias — always a shopper’s favorite — as well as fuschia and impatiens. The sale is ongoing during regular school hours. Okes said if any plants remain after Tuesday, gardeners can still purchase them at the school.
