A toppled tree early Saturday morning left more than 7,000 customers across Raleigh and Wyoming counties without power.
Phil Moye, spokesman for Appalachian Power, said the tree fell on a transmission line around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, bringing down two of the structures that supported the line and cutting off power.
At 2 p.m. Saturday crews were still working to repair the damage and, while thousands of customers had been restored, the Marsh Fork area of Raleigh County and the Baileysville and Brenton areas of Wyoming County were still without.
Power was completely restored by 4 p.m. Saturday.
