‘Color Wheel’ opens at Tamarack

More than 30 artists’ works are featured in Tamarack’s newest exhibit — “Color Wheel.”

Sunday marked the opening of the colorful exhibit, and the beautiful pieces will be on display through May 31.

Zachary Hartsog, gallery manager, said this is his first time managing an exhibit.

“Traditionally, we do a ‘Wildflowers’ exhibit, but this time, I wanted to do something different. It opened an opportunity for different subjects.”

He said the vibrant colors are a perfect way to kick off the spring season and give the drab winter colors the boot.

One of the artists featured in “Color Wheel,” Jacob Bucy, is originally from Fayette County.

He said his inspiration comes from all different places, but two of the paintings on display at “Color Wheel” came to him with the gaseous planets of the solar system in mind.

Bucy uses acrylic and enamel paints and his work is also being featured at a show in Charleston at the Art Emporium.

His style is quite unique, which he describes as “organized chaos.”

Be sure to check out Bucy’s work, along with many other talented artists at Tamarack, now through May 31.

Don’t miss the “exuberant celebration of all colors of life through art.”
