BECKLEY —
A 91-year-old woman struck by a car on East Prince Street Tuesday afternoon has died from her injuries, confirmed Beckley Police Sgt. D. R. Bailey.
Virginia Diciuccio was crossing the street around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when an 83 year-old male driver struck her, he said.
Diciuccio was transported to Raleigh General Hospital where she later died.
Bailey said the incident is still under investigation, although it appears drugs and alcohol were not a factor. At this time, it is unknown whether any charges will stem from the incident.
