$1 million Powerball ticket purchased at Beckley Little General

BECKLEY — Someone in the Beckley area is $1 million richer.

The West Virginia Lottery said Tuesday that a Powerball ticket matching five numbers but not the Powerball — awarding the winner $1 million — was sold at the Little General store at the intersection of Robert C. Byrd and Rural Acres drives in Beckley.

Director John C. Musgrave said the winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, March 16, drawing were: 3-7-21-44-55 and the Powerball® number was 16.

No one matched all six numbers from the drawing, making Wednesday night’s jackpot is an estimated $260 million.

This is the third Powerball ticket worth $1 million sold in West Virginia in the last two weeks. Mary Carr of Barboursville and the Gillispie Family from Julian claimed $1 million Powerball® prizes on March 8th.

The individual or individuals in possession of the latest $1 million ticket are encouraged to call the West Virginia Lottery at 304-558-0500 for instructions on claiming the prize.
