Fright Nights at Glade Springs will help support United Way

GLADE SPRINGS — Ghosts, goblins and those looking for a night of ghoulish fun will all have the opportunity to enjoy Fright Nights, taking place Oct. 22-23 and Oct. 29-31 at the Resort at Glade Springs.

Activities include tours through the Haunted Trail, $15 for adults and $10 for children; Halloween hay rides, $5 per person; haunted carriage rides, also $5 per person; along with palm readings and ghoulish snacks.

Mike James, director of golf and recreation, encourages people to come out for an evening of frightful fun.

“The original reason why we decided to do this event was, of course, to celebrate Halloween, to expose the resort to the general public and to just have a good time,” he said.

The event will also help raise money for a good cause. The resort will donate $1 per ticket sold to the United Way of Southern West Virginia.

“We believe the United Way is a worthwhile organization, as other charitable organizations are,” he said. “They do a lot of great things for the community and we want to support them.”

The event kicks off around 6 p.m. with the last ticket being sold at 10:30 p.m. People can purchase tickets at the door of the Small Talk Cafe or at the United Way.
