Women’s Expo to open Saturday at Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center

The 2013 Women’s Expo will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center sponsored by My 105.9 WTNJ, Suddenlink and Unicare.

Many different vendors will be displaying ideas on beauty, health, fashion, education, and many services for and about women.

“This year’s show has a wider variety of goods and services for women than ever,” according to Jay Quesenberry, general manger of Southern Communications Corp., promoter of the show.

 Prizes will be awarded both days. They include a stainless steel kitchen range from John Eye Big Sandy and a personal green house from Sam’s Club will be awarded.

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. will meet and greet folks Saturday at 2 p.m. Other entertainment includes West Virginia rapper Mini Thin, performer of “The Coal Miner’s Lullaby” and the hip hop version of “Country Roads” Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Cody Wickline, winner of the 2012 My 105.9 WTNJ Texaco Country Showdown, will be at the show Saturday at 10 a.m. to meet and greet folks.

Hours for the show are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. Discount tickets are available at area businesses throughout southern West Virginia or at the door.
