Bill Kinder and Associates hosts Business After Hours

BECKLEY — The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce’s most recent Business After Hours featured Bill Kinder and Associates.

Alicia Kinder said her father’s office, Bill Kinder and Associates on Ritter Drive in Beaver, works very closely with Hylton Law Office, which is right next door, as well as Tax Relief, which is right down the hallway.

“We all do work cooperatively,” Kinder said.

“Bill Kinder and Associates is my dad’s business. He is the owner and president. We do retirement and estate planning, as well as help people with college funding planning.”

She said within Kinder and Associates is Matt Elkins, who is a financial adviser. He was also a part of Business After Hours Thursday.

Hylton Law Office often partners with Kinder and Associates, Kinder said, and Vicki Hylton handles everything from wills and deeds to real estate and closings on home sales.

“Over on the other end of the hallway is Tax Relief. They are really busy this time of year with tax returns, but they also do payroll and accounting. We work in conjunction with them sometimes when we have a client who needs a second opinion on a tax review or a hypothetical tax return. They’re there to help supplement what we do.”

She said Business After Hours had a wonderful turnout and she is very thankful to all of those who came. She also extended a special thank you to the Chamber for doing such a great job with the event.

A four-day, three-night Myrtle Beach vacation was given away, but Kinder said the event was so crowded, she didn’t even get to see the winner.

“I met new people, and some great networking went on.”

She said something unique about their building is that although the businesses are separate, “We’re able to work in conjunction when we need each other and that allows us to offer a much fuller range of planning services under one roof.”
