The 79th annual Mac’s Toy Fund party is just days away. And your help is needed to help ensure that the day is a special one for the hundreds of children who will attend.
Monetary donations, as well as gifts of used toys and bicycles and coats, are still being taken.
Shady Spring Middle and High School cheerleaders are collecting coats through Wednesday. Drop-off locations are Chateau Interiors in Beckley; Kroger at Beaver, Harper Road and Beckley Crossing; CVS in Beaver; Walgreens in Beaver; Big Lots in Beckley; Chick-fil-A at Beckley Galleria; Family Coin Laundry; Raleigh General Hospital; The Register-Herald; Starbucks; and all Shady Spring schools.
Used bikes, including broken ones, are being accepted at Beckley Fire Station No. 3 on Eisenhower Drive and behind the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center through Friday.
A need for used toys still exists and they can be dropped off at The Register-Herald, 801 N. Kanawha St.; BJW Printing, 3100 Robert C. Byrd Drive; and the Beckley Sam’s Club at the Cranberry Creek Shopping Center.
