Beckley man sent to Anthony Center

A 20-year-old Beckley man was sentenced to the Anthony Correctional Center for youthful offenders Tuesday after Raleigh County Circuit Judge Robert Burnside suspended a 30-year term for first-degree robbery.

Devon Bradley’s sentence stemmed from a June 11 robbery/shooting at Wilbrian Apartments in Beckley.

According to chief deputy prosecutor Tom Truman, Bradley sought revenge against a man he thought had had a relationship with his girlfriend. At Bradley’s urging, Truman said the girlfriend, 25-year-old Nastasha Law of Beckley, lured the victim from his apartment.

Bradley then fired three to four shots, and with Law’s brother, Ryan Guerrant, 18, of Beckley, stole about $200 from the victim, Truman said.

Cases against Law and Guerrant are pending.
