Police: Poker parlor clerk robbed, tied up

Raleigh County sheriff’s deputies say they are looking for a man who robbed a video poker parlor clerk at gunpoint and tied her up before leaving.

A man wearing a mask, dark-colored jacket and a toboggan entered Pop’s in Shady Spring just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, brandished a handgun and demanded money, Chief Deputy Dave Stafford said. The suspect then tied up the clerk before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was further described as being white, about 6-foot and 200 pounds, Stafford said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the sheriff’s department at 304-255-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 304-255-7867.
