Robbery reported in Oak Hill

Several people inside an Oak Hill mobile home reported being robbed at both gunpoint and knifepoint Monday night, city police said.

Sometime after 7 p.m., an in-progress armed robbery was reported at the Rosedale Trailer Park, Patrolman 1st Class M.J. Jarvis said. Several people were inside the mobile home at the time.

The alleged victims told police two men — one armed with a handgun and the other armed with a knife — robbed them of prescribed controlled substances, Jarvis said. A K-9 unit led police to another mobile home in the park, but no evidence was found inside the residence or on anyone’s person.

The men were described as being white and wearing masks and camouflage clothing, Jarvis said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Oak Hill Police Department at 304-465-0596.
