A Fayette County man has been arrested after authorities say he struck another man on the head with a metal shovel.
Mark Allen Kinser, 31, of Ansted, was charged with malicious wounding, Sheriff Steve Kessler said. He was released from Southern Regional Jail on $5,000 bond.
At 12:37 p.m. Tuesday, an in-progress fight was reported near Logtown Hollow in Ansted, Kessler said.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found Marvin Rogers, 53, of Ansted, was bleeding from a head wound. Rogers told deputies Kinser had struck him on the head with a metal shovel.
The incident remains under investigation, Kessler said.
