Beckley police have seized a suspect’s car they said was found with $7,800 cash in the trunk.
Ted Anderson III, 37, of Daniels, is charged with delivery of marijuana, Detective Lt. Gant Montgomery said. Anderson has been released on bond.
Montgomery said Anderson was arrested on a warrant Nov. 1 after police stopped his car on Powerline Drive. Anderson had been under investigation for “some time,” according to Montgomery. Upon arrest, police, who had a search warrant, searched Anderson’s car and found the cash. The 2006 Acura was seized because Anderson had been allegedly dealing marijuana from it.
Montgomery said police also executed search warrants at related locations. Marijuana was found at a relative’s house. Anderson may face further charges.
