The U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus will be performing a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Brushfork Armory near Bluefield.
Sponsored by WVVA-TV Channel 6, in conjunction with the Blue Mountain Performing Arts, the performance will feature the 65-piece band and 29-voice chorus considered to be some of the finest musical talent in the country.
The program will salute active military members, their families, veterans and their families from all branches of service.
“It is my hope to have over 4,500 people in the armory celebrating America through music as we get ready to begin the holiday season,” WVVA General Manager Frank Brady said.
Tickets to the free event can be obtained at WVVA’s studios in Beckley and Bluefield or by contacting chamber of commerce offices in Beckley, Bluefield, Lewisburg and Princeton.
