A car struck a Beckley arts and crafts store late Monday morning, but city police say no injuries were reported.
The incident at the Beckley Crossing Hobby Lobby was reported at 11:47 a.m. Monday, Lt. Cheri Mullens said. James Elwood Brown, 19, of Shady Spring, said his foot slipped on his vehicle’s gas pedal. The vehicle then struck the side of Hobby Lobby.
Neither Brown nor anyone else was injured, Mullens said. The exact extent of damage done to Hobby Lobby was unknown, but police at the scene reported cracks on the building.No citations were issued, Mullens said.
