Veterans present $10,000 during MSU open house
For a third time in six months, The Mountain State Regular Veterans Association No. 57 (MSRVA) presented Mountain State University’s Medical Assisting program with a $10,000 donation.
The latest check, presented Wednesday, brings their contribution total to $30,000 this year.
The veterans group initially connected with University officials in May through Judy and Carroll Presley, aunt and uncle of Janet Hinton, clinical coordinator for the MSU Medical Assisting program. Judy Presley, a regular bingo player, stated that during a weekly bingo game an organizer with the Mountain State Regular Veterans Association Post 57 (MSRVA), Dottie Hann asked if anyone in the audience knew someone who worked for Mountain State University. The veterans group runs fundraisers throughout the year and pledges to schools all over the state.
