Separate incidents left two men wounded from gun shots in Wyoming County Monday.
The first incident occurred about 6 a.m. on Tracey’s Mountain, near Mullens.
William Vines was shot in the leg at his residence, according to Sheriff Randall Aliff.
Ronnie Coomes was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with the incident, Aliff said. He was charged with malicious wounding and wanton endangerment.
The second incident occurred about 1 p.m. on Bud Mountain while authorities were still investigating the first shooting, the sheriff noted.
Donald Ramsey, of Bud, was also shot in the leg, Aliff said. Ramsey was found in the woods by a security guard, who notified authorities.
Randall Bennett, also of Bud, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and malicious wounding in connection with the shooting, Aliff said.
Neither of the shootings appear to be life-threatening and the weapons had not been recovered Monday afternoon, Aliff said.
Further details were unavailable.
Both investigations are continuing.
