Deadline is today to join Denim for a Difference

Today is the deadline for registering your school, organizations or businesses to participate in the 2009 Denim for a Difference fundraiser for the United Way of Southern West Virginia.

During the Oct. 12-16 Denim for a Difference fundraiser, which supports the charity that supports more than 20 agencies in Raleigh, Fayette and Nicholas counties, employees of registered businesses can pay to have the privilege of wearing jeans to work.

For a donation of $5, you can wear jeans for any one of the days of the Denim for a Difference week. For $10, you can pick three days, and for $15, you can wear jeans all week.

This year’s goal is to raise $12,000.
