One person was transported for injuries following a motor vehicle accident Saturday in Shady Spring, a Jan-Care Ambulance Service official said.
“The accident involved three vehicles,” said John Parker, public relations director for Jan-Care. “It was basically a bumper-to-bumper collision.”
A supervisor at the Raleigh County Emergency Operations Center said the accident occurred around 12:03 p.m. on Ritter Drive.
“Eight people were involved in the accident, but we only transported one because of seven refusals,” Parker added. The victim was taken to Raleigh General Hospital for an evaluation and treatment of injuries.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
