A woman was shot and killed late Sunday night in Daniels, but Raleigh County sheriff’s detectives say circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.
The incident on Pilot Lane in Daniels was reported at 11:30 p.m., said Sgt. Larry Lilly, chief of detectives.
The woman’s husband shot her, and she later died at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, police said.
No one had been charged as of Monday afternoon.
The woman’s name will be released once all of her next of kin have been notified, Lilly said.
