Alderson Fourth of July fireworks and events originally planned for Sunday have been canceled and rescheduled for tonight because of heavy rain.
The Ducks on the Greenbrier rubber ducky race is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Alderson Mini Park.
The race will be dependent on the rise of the Greenbrier River. At 7 p.m. the Half Bad Bluegrass Band and concessions are planned at Memorial Field. Admission will be free. At 9:30 p.m. a Grand Fireworks Display and finale will commence at Memorial Field.

A fun day at school
Students who participated in a school fundraiser at Cranberry-Prosperity Elementary School sprayed their principal Becky Smith during a hot Friday. Smith was decked out in flippers, goggles and floaties during the fun. Smith paraded past students as they drenched her with water guns.
