Man critically injured in Raleigh County wreck

A man was critically injured when he crashed his car into an embankment off Clear Fork Road in Ameagle early Tuesday morning.

Travis Wayne Humphrey, 29, of Dorothy, apparently lost control of his vehicle, causing it to hit the embankment, Raleigh County sheriff’s Capt. Gordon Gregory said. Humphrey was transported to Raleigh General Hospital.

Deputy M.P. Gunther is investigating.
