Soul-singer and songwriter Bill Withers, the Raleigh County native with such megahits as “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Lean On Me,” is the subject a new documentary making its West Virginia debut Wednesday night in the state capital.
Working in tandem with the West Virginia International Film Festival, FestivALL Charleston will present “Still Bill” at the WVSU Capitol Plaza Theater on 123 Summers St.
A reception is planned before the film is shown.
Introducing the film and fielding questions afterward will be Damani Baker, who invested eight years in producing it, including four West Virginia visits with Withers accompanying him. ...
