A cleanup crew removes charred cargo from a burned trailer on the access road between Tamarack and the Beckley Travel Plaza. Authorities said a tractor-trailer hauling frozen chickens caught fire about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at the travel plaza. Although other vehicles in the area were in danger of the fire spreading to them, further damage was avoided. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was unknown. The scene was cleared by 8:22 a.m. The Bradley-Prosperity, Pax and Mount Hope fire departments responded.
