Boil water advisory issued following water line break

A Meadow Bridge water line break has been repaired, but authorities say customers remain under a boil water advisory.

Darrell Diehl, the town’s chief water operator, said a galvaniz-

ed service line apparently rusted through and broke Wednesday. Workers repaired the break in about two hours.

However, state health officials issued a boil water advisory for customers of the Meadow Bridge water system.

Consumers are advised to allow water to reach a full rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking or hygienic purposes.
