An elderly couple from Mount Nebo were transported for minor injuries after their vehicle overturned Saturday on U.S. 19 in Fayette County, police said.
According to sheriff’s Deputy S.L. Campbell, the vehicle was northbound between Glen Jean and Oak Hill when the driver veered off the road, ran over a Division of Highways sign, overturned and landed on its top.
Campbell said both occupants were transported to Plateau Medical Center for minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
