Raleigh BOE renews contracts

The Raleigh County Board of Education approved the renewal of several contracts at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Members voted in favor of the renewal of contracts that will allow ACT phlebotomy and medical assisting students to gain clinical experience at Summersville Memorial Hospital, Plateau Medical Center, Raleigh General Hospital, Summers County-ARH Hospital, Crab Orchard Family Healthcare and Kid Care.

They also approved the renewal of an agreement with West Virginia University for the placement of student teachers in Raleigh County schools through June 30.

The next board meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Jan. 27.
