Donations for the 78th annual Mac’s Toy Fund have begun to arrive. Following are the first donors to this year’s campaign:
- Dr. George T. Arnold of Shady Spring, in memory of his wife, Connie Kish Arnold; her father, Alex Thomas Kish; and his parents, George and Cris Arnold; $100.
- Mrs. Lillian J. Melton of Beckley, $50.

Greenbrier drug suspects rounded up
The drug task force of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, along with members from several agencies, initiated a roundup of suspected drug users, abusers and dealers in the area after the county’s grand jury returned sealed indictments Tuesday, Sheriff Jim Childers explained.
