Beckley will conduct its 2008 fall leaf pickup beginning Dec. 1.
Linda Carr, administrative assistant for Mayor Emmett Pugh, said leaves and also limbs no bigger than 2 inches in diameter will be picked up.
Household items are not included in the cleanup.
The pickup will begin with Ward I and conclude Dec. 5 with Ward 5.
Carr said all leaves need to be bagged and on the curbside by 7 a.m. Dec. 1. Crews will move into the next ward if they finish one early.

A fun day at school
Students who participated in a school fundraiser at Cranberry-Prosperity Elementary School sprayed their principal Becky Smith during a hot Friday. Smith was decked out in flippers, goggles and floaties during the fun. Smith paraded past students as they drenched her with water guns.
