A CSX train derailed in Rupert Friday afternoon, according to emergency officials.
The train jumped the tracks apparently after one of the railcars lost an axle.
No injuries were reported, but officials said the derailed cars blocked the road at Rupert Elementary School. Parents reportedly had to wait as long as 30 minutes before being able to pick up their children, officials said.
The accident has been cleaned up, according to officials.
It was the second time in two weeks that a CSX train derailed in southern West Virginia. Officials said railcars hauling coal tipped over two weeks ago in Summers County.
