Raleigh County sheriff’s deputies say a 17-year-boy was killed in a Wednesday evening vehicle accident.
Shawn Douglas Fox, 17, of Fairdale, was dead at the scene on W.Va. 99 in Fairdale, Capt. Gordon Gregory said.
Fox was driving a 2006 Kia west on Route 99 around 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, according to both Gregory and Cpl. Mike Webb, the investigating officer. Fox lost control and ran off the roadway, going into a wooded area.
A 15-year-old male passenger was also injured and was taken to Raleigh General Hospital, Gregory said.
