Firefighters battled a Greenbrier County house fire for more than seven hours Tuesday, and one firefighter was injured, authorities said.
The house fire on Otto Road in Renick, near a Church of God, was reported at 2:24 p.m., according to the Greenbrier County Emergency Operations Center. One firefighter was treated for both heat exhaustion and a migraine. Firefighters from four departments were on the scene until around 10 p.m.
No further information was available Tuesday night.

A fun day at school
Students who participated in a school fundraiser at Cranberry-Prosperity Elementary School sprayed their principal Becky Smith during a hot Friday. Smith was decked out in flippers, goggles and floaties during the fun. Smith paraded past students as they drenched her with water guns.
