Man arrested in Nicholas auto parts store break-in

A Clay County man has been charged with breaking into an auto parts store in Nicholas County, authorities said.

Matthew A. Gill, 25, of 7454 Widen-Dille Road, Dille, was charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny, the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department said. Gill remained incarcerated Tuesday at Central Regional Jail in Flatwoods on $15,000 bond.

The break-in at Fisher’s Auto Parts on Webster Road in Summersville was reported Monday, deputies said. While investigating, deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Gill. Deputies found a large quantity of new tools and $362.50 in cash during a search.

All items had been stolen from Fisher’s Auto Parts.

Further arrests are pending, the sheriff’s office said.
