— More than 45 experienced horse riders rode the trails at Glade Springs Resort to raise money for Raleigh County’s 2013 4-H Horse Camp.

Horse camp director Bridget Adkins said experienced riders brought their horses for a trail ride recently and raised $1,100 for this year’s camp.

Each summer, children in the third grade and up can attend the equine-related 4-H camp. Participants bring their own horses and work on all types of riding and disciplines through the 4-H philosophy, she said.

All proceeds of the trail ride benefited the 4-H Horse Camp.

Glade Springs Resort volunteered its trails and use of arenas to benefit the camp.
