Vaught Inc. launches its new philanthropic division

Vaught Inc. CEO Chris Vaught and his team of 60 solution experts love problems.

The Beckley-based private company is the parent company of four businesses — NightWatch, MedMatrix Solutions, V23 and Indigo Health — that offer creative solutions for clients in the health care, hospice and education sectors in West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois.

But now Vaught is extending its problem-solving expertise into the nonprofit sector through the launch of Shine, a philanthropic division that will support local nonprofit and charity organizations whose missions are consistent with the company’s beliefs, Vaught said.

“Our company’s beliefs are really driven from our mission values,” explained Vaught. “Our mission is to seek opportunity and, through innovation, create practical solutions, satisfied clients and improved communities.

“This is one way we’re trying to improve our communities,” he said. “Our values are integrity, creativity and service.”

Vaught said Shine will give his team a formal platform from which to “be a good neighbor” and to volunteer in the community.

Shine allows Vaught employees to provide physical and intellectual support to a variety of different groups while donating an hour of company time for every hour volunteered, Vaught said.

“Our team has an incredible storehouse of knowledge and talents to help organizations with administrative and operational-type tasks,” he said. “For example, right now we’re designing a database system for a nonprofit organization.”

Favored nonprofits would be in the fields of innovations, health and wellness, science, technology, education, math and entrepreneurship, he said.

“We think our greatest value is the expertise we can offer to some organizations,” stated Vaught.

Shine will also provide some financial support to qualifying charities, he added.

The company is currently working with Beckley Health Right to help uninsured patients.

Founded in 2008, Vaught Inc. was listed as an Inc. 500/5000 company for 2012-13 by Inc. magazine, which ranks the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

Vaught invited organizations to visit www. for more information.
