A house fire in Swiss resulted in the deaths of two individuals Tuesday night, according to a spokesman for one of the responding fire departments.
A MetroNews account of the fire identified the victims as Bill Kiser, 73, and his cousin, 74-year-old Verna Lou Wright, .
The blaze broke out about 8:30 p.m.
A spokeswoman for the state Fire Marshal’s Office said Wednesday morning that an investigator was on scene in the Nicholas County community trying to determine the cause of the fire.
Gauley River, Gauley Bridge and Boomer fire departments responded to the call.
