United Way Day is today

— United Way Day at Crossroads Mall is on tap today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Those attending can visit with many United Way agencies and find out just how important your donations are to our non-profit partners in southern West Virginia.

The United Way’s 2013 campaign chair, Frank Wood, and vice chair, Sherrie Hunter, will be in center court “serving” free popcorn.

United Way Day will serve as the official kick-off of the 2013-2014 annual United Way campaign. This year’s goal is bigger than ever, as the agency challenges the community to help raise $525,000. Join the United Way today and see for yourself how your charitable donation works to improve the common good in southern West Virginia.
