Oak Leaf Festival — Scheduled of events

OAK HILL — The 15th annual Oak Leaf Festival will kick off on Thursday with a wine and cheese tasting at the White Oak Country Club and will continue through Labor Day weekend.

Organizers of the annual affair have another jam-packed event scheduled for 2013. The theme for the year’s festival is “Celebrating 150 Years of Mountainous Beauty,” tying in with the state’s sesquicentennial celebration.

Attractions for the whole family are planned throughout the duration of the popular festival, including Depot Days, a Firefighters’ Weekend and lots of contests.
