John Eye Big Sandy Superstore in Beckley hopes to help charitable and nonprofit organizations through a One Night Special event March 25.
“Charities that we have signed up to participate that night will be getting donations straight from Big Sandy for every person we have come in and purchase and mention their charity’s name,” said Misty Windsor, operations manager at the Beckley store.
“The charity MUST sign up with us for it. They will get a $100 donation for any $499 or more furniture or bedding purchase made and a $50 donation for any $499 or more purchase on appliances or electronics.”
The promotion will take place at all Big Sandy locations.
“This is a great opportunity for charitable and nonprofit organizations to make a lot of money with little work,” Windsor said. “Just think, if they have three qualifying sales in furniture, that is $300 in their pocket. It is nearly impossible to do that with any other fundraiser in just one day.”
Windsor said eligible groups include Little Leagues, churches, PTOs, to name only a few.
“We have few charities signed up for this as of right now, and it’s just a week away. We hope these organizations will see what a good opportunity this will be, and we are very excited to be able to do something like this for our local charities and nonprofit organizations,” Windsor said.
