Two men enter guilty pleas in Raleigh Circuit Court

One man pleaded guilty to fraud with an access device, and another pleaded guilty to third offense driving under the influence of alcohol in Raleigh County Circuit Court Thursday.

Richard Donald Greene, 27, stole a credit card from a West Virginia State Police dispatcher, according to Raleigh County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Tom Truman.

Truman said Greene’s face was not visible at a City Bank ATM, but his clothes and a necklace were. Greene was wearing the same clothes and necklace when he was arrested and confessed to the crime, Truman said.

Greene will be sentenced Nov. 15 at 9:30 a.m. by Judge Robert A. Burnside.

James Douglas Boggs, 37, pleaded guilty Thursday to third offense DUI and Judge Burnside sentenced him to one year of home confinement. Boggs received two previous DUI convictions March 6, 2006, in Nicholas County Magistrate Court and Feb. 10, 2010, in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Burnside also ordered that he successfully complete alcohol or substance abuse rehabilitation.
