After a rock slide shut down W.Va. 20 in Summers County between Bluestone Dam and Lilly Bridge Saturday, both lanes of traffic were reopened in the early morning hours Sunday, according to Summers County Emergency Operations Center.
The slide was reported just after 8:30 a.m. Saturday and the road was shut down just before 10 a.m.
An excavator used to clear the debris became stuck in the mudslide, which further delayed the clearing of the roadway.
Division of Highways responded to the scene and traffic was detoured through Leatherwood and Bluestone roads.
